Information stored on your device
Song Seeds stores recordings, separated audio stems, transcripts, song sheets, notes, tags, musical analysis, and preferences in the app’s local storage.
Your device or iCloud backup may include this information when backup is enabled in your Apple settings. If you export or share something, a copy goes to the destination you choose.
Microphone and transcription
Song Seeds asks for microphone access when you record and for speech-recognition access when you create a transcript.
Apple Speech may send audio from a recording to Apple to produce a transcript. Apple processes that request under its own terms and privacy practices.
Downloaded speech model
Full Scan can download a Whisper speech-recognition model from Hugging Face. That download connects your device to Hugging Face, but Song Seeds does not upload your recording to Hugging Face. After the model is downloaded, Whisper transcription runs on your device.
What SteamCircuits receives
Song Seeds has no SteamCircuits account or customer-content server. SteamCircuits does not receive your songs, recordings, lyrics, notes, song sheets, tags, or app-usage information through the app.
Song Seeds includes no advertising, behavioral tracking, or analytics system.
